This article made me want to make great videos! It's really cool ow he's making so much money by just doing little "Vlogs" in his extra time. (Video+Blog) Also, he got noticed by his videos by just messing around making a video for a friend. I think you could make money off videos that are entertaining. Such as one he did about how to solve the rubics cube. Because stuff like that is really interesting to people. Not only funny entertaining videos, but interesting educational ones! Teenagers like us can get more involved in video-making by doing a "Vlog" or another type of topic that will pull veiwers in. Things such as a series or sequence of videos! I would be interested in something like this in my spare time, if I could come up with something cool that viewers would pay to watch!
The article in the Journal Star was very interesting! I think I would take good camera skills and popular ideas to make money off youtube-type videos. You would have to have a lot of people that are interested in your topic to make money. Some ways teenagers like me can get involved in the world of digital media are the following: blog, take digital media classes (such as this one) and post your finished projects online, and take time to learn how to edit and make some great videos. I do find this interesting, but I don't know if I would enjoy it outside of a hobby.
I thought this article from Journal star was very informative and may get a lot of people interested in trying to create their own videos. I think to be able to make money of of You-tube would take a lot of time and some money buying the supplies.I think there is many ways we can get involved with digital media more than a hobby by spending more time producing and figuring out ways to create better movies. I really enjoy making the movies but I don't know if I could do it for a living.
I never realized that people could make money off posting videos on you tube, I thought it was just a site for funny videos. So, to actually make money off them, the videos would have to be pretty informative and interesting. Students need to first of all become aware of all the possibilities of the digital media world. Blogging, "Vlogging", and posting work to the web so others can see. Also viewing other people's digital media projects can give you some more ideas. I am interested in movie making, just because I think its fun and it allows for a way to capture memories from the past. However, I don't think I would make a career out of it.
Well to actually make money off of making youtube-type videos, they have to be interesting and entertaining. Being able to do that sort of thing calls for creativity. I think for teenagers to go out and get involved they need to have interest and an open mind. I think that just creating something and putting it out there is really cool, it takes confidence to do that. I love to create movies and different things, but I don't think I would ever want to post them onto the internet on a youtube-type website.

I thought this article was very interesting! I think to make money off youtube videos you would have to have a pretty popular idea to get many people interested in it. Entertaining videos could probably make a lot of money as well. Teenagers could definitely try vlogging or something similar as long as they have good ideas. Many teens do so they really need to get their ideas out there for people to hear. I would love to vlog if i could think of some good ideas to vlog about but so far ive got nothing! Hopefully something will come to me soon.

This is an intriguing article. If you could make money by posting your projects on youtube would be awesome! But I think it takes a good video to actually make people watch it and actually make money from it. I mean, you don't want to just watch something that's really boring and one shot. Or something that is really shaky and where the camera moves too fast. That makes people dizzy and not want to watch it or learn anything from it because you get sick just watching. You need to have good skills with the camera and know what your doing and what you are talking about. But i really don't know for sure what i would do, if i were cleaver enough to come up with some kind of How-to video like, how to do your trig homework, I might make some money from students who dont like math all too much, like me! haha!
I think that this article was very interesting! I think that you would have to have very good ideas and be very creative in order to make money and become famous off youtube like video. I never realized that you could make money off these videos, but if you put time, effort, and creativity in your videos then they will be more successful. To get more involved teens can blog, Vlog, post up their projects, and even look at other projects to get more creative ideas. I do really like being involved in digital media; however, I do not think that I could take this more than a hobby for now.
I think that this was an interesting article. First of all, it shows that the guy is basically a genius for creating a rubick's cube video! Anything that people can learn to make them appear more intelligent is definitely a plus. Second, he must have been a very good teacher and explained the process very well to get so many good hits. Third, he must have had good video techniques. So to answer the questions, I think it would take a lot of time and dedication and a positive attitude to create you-tube-type videos. I think if teens start to see that they actually can make a career out of digital media rather than just a hobby, there would be more interest. Because we have seen so many aspects where people have been successful through digital media, this is something that I am interested in as well.
I think that if you have the talent it wouldn't take much. They could just make movies for fun. I like to make movies but I'm not that good at it because I just don't know how to do much.
