Week #2 Blog Post: Childhood Classics
Before we put you behind the lens, put yourself back in the audience. What was your favorite movie growing up? You know, the movie that you went to see 10 times in the theater and then purchased the VHS tape that you watched so much that you wore out. I can't name one, but I can name several: E.T., Ghostbusters, Footloose, Flashdance, and my all time favorite "The Sound of Music" all come to mind right away! Even though we grew up in different times, I think it safe to say that a movie classic is a classic forever. Do we hear any common Hollywood hits? Remember that a big part of your job as a moviemaker this semester is to be a movie-"watcher." Analyze, critique, and enjoy watching what you are learning about in life come to life on the big screen. And don't forget to leave your comments to this post to share some of your "Childhood Classics."

I recall watching the little mermaid so many times at my grandma clydes that pretty much eventually the movie didnt work anymore. I also recall watching the Brave Little Toaster with my grandma Herold. I would stay at her house every summer for 2 weeks and every night she would ask what movie i wanted to watch and i always picked the Brave Little Toaster which really annoyed my older brothers because I pretty much always got my way because my grandma spoiled me but the problem was every night i fell asleep at the same spot about 25 minutes into the movie. My grandma always complained she never saw the end so the last night she would stay up later just to finish it. :)
I used to watch the fox and the hound all the time when i was little... it made me sad :(
I am a movie junkie! I love to watch movies and especially when I was a kid. The movies I loved and watched repeatedly when I was a kid were: Princess Diaries, Mulan, Home Alone, Care Bears, The Little Mermaid, and im sure theres a lot more of which are unmentioned!
The Little Mermaid is my all-time favorite Disney movie, too! I can't say that I've ever watched the Brave Little Toaster, though... I"ll have to see if Encore has that one some weekend!
Well I am still trying to think of all of my favorite movies from grade school, but I read Kelly's post and she mentioned The Brave Little Toaster! I forgot about that one, I used to love that movie! It was the greatest. Also The Land Before Time was a big one for me, and The Jurassic Park movies as well! I am sure I will be adding another post when I can think of some more good ones.
I do remember wanting the little mermaid when it came out. but my all time favorite movie which i can quote cause i still watch it today is Ace Ventura:When Nature Calls. That movie is so funny and Jim Carrey is hilarious.
When I was younger some of my all time favorite movies were Matilda,Madeline, and the Aristocats!I got Aristocats everytime I went to rent a movie I know I have seen it about 30 times!
Well i already posted but i saw the land before time under connor's post and i really liked that movie too but that made me cry alot. :(
I watched 3 or 4 Barney movies all the time, and when those got over I watched them again. I also used to watch Charlette's Web all the time.
When i was little I absolutly loved the fox and the hound and the land before time (i seriously owned like seven of those movies) but my favorite disney movie was peter pan (I LOVE IT!!!)
Hmmmm... My favorite childhood movie... I really can't think of one! There was a lot of times I popped in the Hunchback of Notre Dame, Little Mermaid, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (YES THEY MADE MOVIES, WITH REAL PEOPLE, NOT CARTOONS!), and We're Back. I'm sure there's more, but I really can't picture one right now!
I love Disney movies!!! Some that i used to watch were like Pocahontas, 101 Dalmatians, Winnie the Pooh, Cinderella, The Jungle Book, Little Mermaid, and all the Shirley Temple Movies!!! I love watching movies!!
I am a really big fan of Disney movies. I can remember watching 'The Lion King'...ALOT when i was younger. Along with 'Pocahontas' and 'Beauty and the Beast'. 'Fox and the Hound' was a good one too!
My favorite movie as a child would probably have been batman or superman.

I know I left a post here before, but it must've deleted or I deleted in on accident. But, my favorite movies are from the 80's, like Footloose, St. Elmo's Fire, The Breakfast Club, ect. I do remember when I was really little I LOVED Beauty and The Beast. It was probably my favorite movie ever. I watched it so many times that the tape literally stopped working.
