Videographer's Perspective
It's Week #5 and everyone is learning a lot of new information. How is your view of moviemaking changing and evolving? Do you see certain things differently, have a different appreciation for digital media, or have new insight into movie production at this point? Just take a few minutes and compose a paragraph or so with your comments on how you are seeing things through your eyes right now.

I think this information will come in handy someday. When i watch movies i find myself naming the camera shots i can think of (really kind of annoying). It has opened my eyes as to my creative ability and to portray what i want viewers to feel when they watch movies that i create.
I think that I'm learning a lot with this class and it's definitely going to help me in the future just with watching for more details in movies and commercials. It also is helping me understand more on how the movie special effects are made and how I can do the same type of stuff on my own. The information that we're gaining could be very useful to us some day.
I definately will use this information when i go to college and when i become the next KATIE COURIC! In the broadcasting world I will need to be able to capture the smallest of things in a creative way. I will also have to learn how to do voice overs properly and to the T! However, I'm not crazy about ALL of the camera shots I just don't feel like I'm to that point where I'm that creative! Hopefully I will get there though!
Well lets see...I think the movie making is awesome and so much fun! I noticed while making our hey big shot movie how easy it is to make a scene interesting by just having a good angle. While watching the movie i realized how cool the movie looked with all the different angles. When I make my own movies I will now know how to make them more interesting just by adding some simple different angles. Awesome.
When watching movies I am at the point where I am like "hey I know how to do that" and that is pretty cool. The hardest part of class for me is figuring out what to do in the movies or how to make my ideas work. Actually,it's amazing how easy it is to make movies, but at the same time it is so hard!I am really glad that I have a better understanding of the movie making process!
I am learning a lot from this class and I will use this in the future. I will be able to make and edit movies when needed. I am finding that it is kind of hard because it all takes time. I am looking forward to using this in the future and think that this class is helping make video editing a lot easier.
Since starting Digital Media class I have noticed that when watching commercials, movies, and TV shows that I will sit there thinking how they are using the rule of thirds. I also notice how the camera angle can make the shot so much more interesting. A boring topic can be made interesting just by spicing up the camera shot. Or using B roll.
when im watching commercials and movies i notice more things than what i did before this class such as camera angles and transitions.
For what I want to do at this point in my life.. this isn't exactly the skills I will need, but learning with technology is always something i will. I enjoy learning about this stuff alot because watching movies is basically my favorite thing to do and it is nice to learn about stuff that has to happen behind the scenes
When I'm watching commercials or t.v. I now tend to notice all the different angles and shots their using and probably the biggest thing I notice is the rule of thirds.
I feel like I'm learning a lot about camera shots and angles. I'll be watching movies and think, "oh that looks cool, I wonder if I could figure out to do that." I'm really glad that I decided to take this class, I think I'm learning a lot, plus it's a fun class to have.
My comment is the one that came up anonymous...
One thing that I notice a lot more now than I ever used to is the rule of thirds. Whether it's a movie or commercial I'm watching, or just looking at pictures, that is the one thing that really sticks out. I like seeing the different angles at which shots are taken. It's interesting to see differnt people's ideas.
